Our institutions – Public Art Lab (PAL) and Ramallah Municipality – are collaborating at the intersection between the art, technology, science, public authorities, business and community engagement.
Ramallah municipality has launched a project (Hoash Qandah – community art center and laboratory for visual arts) where independent visual artists use a historical building to produce own works and establish a community program. The program includes ongoing workshops with youth and emerging artists in the field of visual arts and a program of sustainable workshops with handcrafts men and women to highlight the importance of cultural heritage, promoting it locally and internationally.
PAL is a urban media platform for participatory and interdisciplinary city-making and has large experiences in networking institutions worldwide but also catalysing artistic processes and public awareness through new media technologies, thereby connecting cities and its citizen beyond physical boarders.
